Question: Where is the Bayshore office?
Answer: The office is located on the 1st floor on the northwest side of the Condominium. It includes the manager's desk and a small meeting area. Main entrance is through the Fitness Room. The office number is 850 455-9702. A copy machine is available during office hours. and a per page fee is charged. A FAX machine is available to residents for a $1 per page fee during office hours.
Office Hours: Mon - Fri. from 8:00 AM - 4 PM. Criminal background checks are done prior to purchasing a unit at Bayshore.
Question: When is my homeowners fee due?
Answer: The homeowners fee is due on the 1st of the month, a late fee of $25 is due by the 10th per installment. The per installment means one for the monthly fee of the condo, and if applicable, one for the SBA loan and one for the 45 month loan for some residents.
Question: Where are the Patio Room & the Bay Room?
Answer: The Patio Room is the large room, located on the southwest side of 1st floor. It includes the bookcases with TV, tables, chairs, sofas and opens to the peninsula and counter area, plus commons kitchen. The items in the bookcases are used exclusively in-house for the residents and are on the honor system. The room is available to residents for functions by reservation on a first-come basis, so check with the office before assuming anything. Reservations are then listed on the calendar in the Mail Room. It has an adjacent fully-equipped kitchen next to it which if used, you are responsible for keeping it very clean. The Bay Room is the smaller, centrally located room on the 1st floor, it has seating areas, a bar, wine cooler, sink & opens to the bathrooms & waterside.
Question: When & where are the Board meetings?
Answer: Open Board meetings are held in the Patio Room on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 6 PM. Currently, there are 7 board members. Check the calendar or bulletin board in the Mail Room for specific details & the agendas.
Question: Where is the soda machine?
Answer: The soda machine is on the 1st floor, next to maintenance office & east side exit - soda cost 65 cents or a $1 dollar bill, soda & change.
Question: Where can I get some ice?
Answer: The Bay Room has an icemaker in the bar area and also the common areas kitchen refrigerator has an icemaker. Remember, to keep the area clean!
Question: Where are the washers & dryers?
Answer: A washer & dryer, laundry table, hot water heater & trash can are conveniently located on each floor in the laundry room, westward of the elevator. The washer is 75 cents & dryer is 25 cents, all in quarters. Use only 1/2 cup of detergent. The Washer time is 22 min & dryer time is 55 min. Clean the washer & dryer & turn out the lights! Check with the Doorman if you need change and to report any machine malfunctions at 850 455-9702. Tips: Use a $1 to buy a soda and get change if you need an extra laundry quarter or get a $10 roll of quarters next time you are at the bank.
Question: Where is a Trash Room?
Answer: A Trash Room is conveniently located on each floor immediately to the east side of the elevator. Items should be in a 2 mm plastic bag and tied. NO LIQUIDS! Strong smelling items such as fish, shrimp, crabs, bait and diapers, etc. should be bagged, tied and brought to the dumpster on the northeast side of the condominium. Boxes should be broken down and taken to the dumpster for disposal. Bottles should also be brought to the dumpster. The Trash Rooms are emptied at night. Tip: Help keep your trash room clean & uncluttered!
Question: Where are the common bathrooms?
Answer: The Men & Ladies bathroom entrances/exits are from the Bay Room or East side hall of condominium on the 1st floor. Help keep it clean & report any problems to the Doorman.
Question: Where is the Mail Room?
Answer: The new & expanded Mail Room is located on the 1st floor, east of the elevators. It has USPS mailboxes, cubbies for in-house communication & a calendar to list Bayshore events. Items to be placed on the calendar must be approved by the manager or a board member. The cabinet drawers have mail-related forms. The Mail Room is closed when the mailman is distributing the mail. If you have special mail-related requests, such as needing stamps, fill out a form and the mailman will deliver it to your box. Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes are frequently available by the cabinet, so check before making a special trip to the post office. Also, the refrigerator in the Mail Room is reserved exclusively for use by the staff.
Question: Where is the Fitness Room at Bayshore?
Answer: It is located northwest on the 1st floor, across from the Patio Room. It also includes a bathroom and locked separate weight room.
Question: Where can I get a cable line for my TV?
Answer: An in-house roll of black coaxial cable is available to residents. Cox Cable is an area provider at 850 478-0200. Basic cable is one of the amenities included in the association fee. Check with the office for your specific needs.
Question: When & how often does pest control provide services?
Answer: Pest control is on a monthly basis and the 1st Wednesday of the month. Our man is Richard Bone. Let the Doorman know of your specific pest control needs.
Question: How do I get a Work Order at Bayshore?
Answer: Contact the office for an unit in service work order. A time will be set to perform the work. THERE IS A FEE!
Question: How do I get a newspaper at Bayshore?
Answer: Daily deliveries of the Pensacola News Journal are available to your door or online at www.pnj.com . The main number is 850 435-8500. Tip: For special circulation needs such as subscriptions and deliveries, call 877-424-0028.
Question: How should I get to the pool, pier or beach?
Answer: When exiting the elevator, go right (east), look for the blue & white nautical-colored sign that says Beach & has an arrow. This helps keep the flow of people to this area. Dry off, cover your bathing suits & wear shoes while inside Bayshore Condominium common areas.
Question: How can I reserve Unit #100, the furnished 2 bedroom, 2 bath, full kitchen, living room, dining area suite?
Answer: Unit #100, located on the 1st floor in the northwest corner, is available by reservation to the family & friends of residents. Towels, sheets & toiletries are not provided. This is a nonsmoking, no pet unit. The resident is responsible for any damages and to clean the unit after use. THERE IS A FEE! Call 850 455-9702 for current information.
Question: How do I get my phone number on the National DO NOT CALL REGISTRY?
Answer: Online at www.donotcall.gov or the phone number is 888-382-1222. Both mobile and home phones can be registered. Tip: Strongly suggest you do it as soon as you get a new number!
Question: When replacing the hot water heater, are there any special requirements at Bayshore?
Answer: An overflow drain pan around the hot water heater! It is a wise idea at this time to replace the old rotary valve with a new lever type. Also, a water sound alarm to place next to the hot water heater is available from the office. Tip: Lowering the heat setting will also reduce the electric bill.
Question: Where can I store my bicycle at Bayshore?
Answer: The Bicycle Room is located outside at the Northeast corner of Bayshore Condominium, near the dumpster. The bicycle should be tagged with the owner's name & unit number. The Bicycle Room is kept locked, so check with the Doorman for access.
Question: What is the vehicular traffic flow pattern at Bayshore?
Answer: The traffic flow pattern at Bayshore is entering southbound on the West side, exiting northbound on the East side and around the circles are counterclockwise. Vehicles are to proceed at 5 mph, have their lights on and have forward movement into and out of the 4 story, lighted garage. Additional space for vehicles and small boats are available at the top. Tip: Be careful walking in the garage on rainy, high humidity days and use caution & be alert for pedestrians and vehicles.
Question: How might I get a jump on my battery at Bayshore?
Answer: Bayshore owns a portable jump box. Ask the doorman for Danny Cook, our janitor who may be able to help you with the jump box. Also, A+ Towing & Recovery at 850 469-1234 provides services for a fee.
Question: Where do my guests & vendors park at Bayshore?
Answer: There are 8 visitor parking spots available at the northeast side along the fence. Entrance into the condominium is monitored by the Doorman, who will alert you that a caller has arrived. Please inform the Doorman if you are expecting a contractor who will need access to your unit. Visitors & vendors should not park in the assigned-numbered garage spaces. An elevator and stairwell is provided for convenience. Additional parking is available at the top of the garage, be careful of the bump at the top.
*The Parking Garage is lighted, has assigned parking & a 5 mph limit! When a unit is vacated, the assigned parking spot DOES NOT convey with the sale. Instead, the parking space reverts back to the Parking Pool & is reassigned by the Manager to those who have requested changes & have special needs.
Question: Are any extra units keys kept?
Answer: An extra unit key is kept in the Locked Box area in the Sitting Room under the control of the Doorman, unless you choose otherwise.
Question: How many keys do I get at Bayshore?
Answer: An owner is provided with 5 keys. Two for the front unit doors with the system-wide Russwin Commercial locks (same key opens both the main door & kitchen door), two for the owner's mailbox in the Mail Room & one for the ground floor entrance & side doors on the 1st floor which is marked with an F. The F key is needed for entry after hours if the Doorman is doing his nightly rounds. The nighttime lock opens with the F key and is located to the right of the front entrance doors, so carry it with you! All entrance doors & the pool gate are locked from 10 PM to 6 AM.
Question: Where can I get homeowner's insurance at Bayshore?
Answer: Try Fisher Brown at 1701 W. Garden St./Pensacola, FL 32501 Contact 850 432-7474. They also handle the common areas & exterior insurance of Bayshore. Ask other residents who they use!
Question: What is assessment insurance?
Answer: Many insurance companies provide assessment insurance which pays the assessment when there is a special assessment to your unit. Ask your insurance company about it!
Question: What are those square boxes in the hall by the kitchen door?
Answer: The 16" keyed, square doors were for deliveries of milk & cheese. Originally, the Borden Dairy & Foremost Dairy had deliveries of dairy products to Bayshore. Then, milk was in 1 qt glass bottles with cardboard pull-tops. Nostalgia: Doorman Mark Richmond was a delivery man for the Borden's Dairy.
Question: How do I go about plumbing needs?
Answer: *Scheduled plumbing is done with a 24-hr clearance from the office due to the fact that water needs to be turned off in the stacks. As an example, the "stacks" mean all the 05 units in that column, so water is turned off on every floor in an 05 unit. If needed, names of plumbers familiar with Bayshore can be provided by the office.
*Emergency plumbing requires calling a plumber, ASAP! Remember, a new hot water heater installation needs an overflow drain pan & a shut off lever!
Question: How can I tell which are waterfront & golf side units?
Answer: *Waterfront side units (South side) end with: 00,01,07,08
*Golf course side end (North side) end with: 02,03,04,05,06
*End Units end with: 01,02,06,07 - These units have views of both water & golf side.
Question: When do they reduce the hall lighting?
Answer: Hall lighting is reduced from 10 PM to 6 AM. Hall lighting ON near the Exit Doors at all times!
Question: Where do I go to get a driver's license?
Answer: The closest office to Bayshore is the Janet Holley Tax Collection at 507 N. Navy Blvd. at Patton Drive. Contact 850 438-6500 and ectc@co.escambia.fl.us. Services include driver's licenses, License Plates, Property Tax collections, etc. & a drive thru. FL gives reciprocity to drivers with licenses from other states. Tip: You can also register to vote at the same time.
Question: Where do I go to vote?
Answer: Warrington Methodist Church/301 E. Winthrop Ave./Pensacola, FL 32507 Contact 850 455-0306. Driving west on Barrancas, turn left on S. 3rd St, the first street on the left after you pass the Food World Shopping Center, drive about three blocks and you will enter the church parking lot. Tips: You can also do early voting by Absentee Ballot or at the Supervisor of Elections office at 213 Palafox Place, on the second floor. It is so much closer to go downtown than the Southwest Library Branch at Gulf Beach Hwy/Bauer Rd., but parking might be a problem downtown.

Answer: Warrington Post Office at 611 New Warrington Rd has a full range of services. However, we can also get stamps from the mailman who delivers to Bayshore by filling out a request application form and the stamps will arrive the next mail delivery day in your box. Tip: Check in the Mail Room for free Priority & Flat Rate boxes, they are kept by the cabinet & will save you a trip to the post office to get one.
Question: What are the nicknames for this city?
Answer: City of Five Flags (France, Britain, Spain, the Confederacy & the United States) and the Cradle of Naval Aviation.
Question: How many storage spaces are available for residents?
Answer: There are only 68 spaces for 98 residents on the 1st floor East side corridor in a special, locked storage room and space is VERY limited. Only store what is personally yours & do not have any disproportionate usage. ALL ITEMS SHOULD BE LABELED WITH UNIT NUMBER. The central area is reserved for Bayshore usage. Cardboard boxes should not be placed there due to water damage & insect control issues. All items placed there are not insured by the Association and are the sole responsibility of the owner. Tip: Sometimes there are big organizational & cleanout efforts, so check your things to see if you still want to keep that!
Question: Does any supermarket deliver groceries?
Answer: Yes, Apple Market/Gourmet Market & Catering at 1021 Scenic Hwy/Pensacola, FL delivers groceries & deli items for a small fee to your door. Tip: Their chicken salad is great!
Question: Does anyone deliver cooked food to Bayshore?
Answer: The Council on Aging contracts with Senior Solutions to deliver hot lunches and/or dinners in microwave bags, 7 days a week. This is a fee-based service per meal ($7.50). Their number is 850 432 1475. Daily deliveries already in service to Bayshore.
